the tenth: throwing in the towel

I tried to keep up by long-hand for as long as I could but I didn't get my aunt's old computer until the 13th. On top of that, my grandma who lives with my mom and me has been a problem and my mom has injured her shoulder (a tear in her muscle or something) that has made it impossible for her to work, drive, dress, etc. So I've been doing it all for her, picking up the slack around the house and having her weighed down around my neck.

Anyway, I got to about five or six thousand. I realize that it is the 20th and I should be on 20k. There's no way I can jump from 5-6k to 20k by the end of the week, let alone push on through to 50k.

It always seems something happens to me in November that prevents me from completing a novel. I at least know what my story is and how I'm going to handle it so when I'm given free time again, I'll try and pick it up, with or without NaNoWriMo.

I hope you guys are doing great! From the looks of it, a lot of you are!
